Street Etiquette x PhotobyTONE

Myself being a hypebeast follower, I caught on to the SE blog quickly. It was dope and real innovative, and still is. There really are no fashion blogs that young black men can really go by. Just knowing about brands doesn't mean that you dress well, it just means your a hypebeast. The idea is genious. I met J Kissi in Soho one day after recognizing one of his friends that I had seen in his photography. After the couple minutes of conversation, he ended up being a down-to-earth guy and friendly, especially. I'm not sure why, but I wasn't expecting that from him. I thought he would be the really business-orientated, always makin' moves, blackberry buzzin' of the hook type of dude. If you're interested and ever see this duo shuttin' it in down in the city, make sure to give daps and pounds.

Sidebar: TONE is the next Andy Warhol, check him out.

Young Angel.

So it looks like Drake plague is dying down, that shit was an epidemic, like the swine flu or some shit. He just decided to release the "So Far Gone" mixtape as an album in stores and on iTunes on September, 15. I think it was a good move for his career, definitely more money for him. I think he should have done it around June or July when he was terrorizing the radio stations and he was on everyone and they're grandfather's song. But it's okay. I think he started to fall off ever since his leg incident, hopefully he'll be healthy soon. It's unfortunate that his debut album "Thank Me Later" isn't going to drop until Valentine's Day 2010. I've been anticipating it for some time now, and now that's getting pushed back from the original August/September date, I'm a little bummed..

When Yeezy Was In His Prime.

It's obvious that this Yeezy/Taylor Swift incident isn't going to pass anytime soon. There's talk about him canceling his world tour? C'mon now. You all need to be reminded of the Kanye we all know and love. After 'Ye's last blog post, i feel a little concerned.

I definitely think Kanye was in his prime during the "Graduation" Era. He couldn't even go out without being harassed by the thirsty paps. He was definitely on top of the world at that point, he was just about to get married, he was dropping mixtapes, Graduation was selling through the roof, he was doing it all. Everyone was a Kanye fan, but now all of a sudden, he gets a little tipsy and you all turn on him, shame on all of you phonies for the betrayal!

I do feel bad about what happend to Ms. Swift but i don't think it's that serious, it's just MTV. SIDEBAR: Swift is a dope last name, do you think that's her real last name?
But nevertheless, it was still wrong, he apologized many times, let's get on with it, back to the music. What a lot of people dont understand is that they're getting too wrapped in artists lives, they need to realize that it's music, musicians aren't supposed to be reality shows, get out of they're lives! But the young society isn't gonna do that and I'm gonna keep talking about it and that's why I blog =]

The Blueprint 3

Jay-Z - The Blueprint 3

When I heard this album, I don't think I was ever so surprised. Ever since Hov dropped that drollery of an album "Kingdom Come", I was a HEAVY boycotter of Jay-Z. But then he dropped "Jockin Jay-Z" and I bumpin that all of summer 2008. Though I didn't agree with the message of the song (Like you're 40 and married... who's jocking you? -_-) i disregarded it and proceeded to bump it EVERYDAY while skating.

BP3 is probably the HARDEST I've heard Jigga in a minute! I can't stop playing it, everysong is NOTHING less than pure crack, it's crazy. I might be on this for a minute. Though I obtained a burned copy from friend, shout out to Tayt the Great, I plan on supporting the movement and buying it on tuesday. Here it is if you haven't heard the greatness. I know I'm defeating the purpose since the whole thing here for you to listen to, but I love you all too much to not show you. Enjoy

Leaders of The New School

Everything got deleted off my computer so I'm rediscovering old music I had.

Zone Coasters - Leaders Of The New School

As Complex as Complex Gets..

Those who don't know, I am a large Complex Magazine buyer/reader/supporter. I've been a comitted reader since Summer '07 when Kanye West was on the cover with the pink G-shock. If I were to work at a magazine company, that would be my first and only choice. Unfortunately, lately they have had a HUGE dilema, SLACKING. Complex is simply falling off. I didn't even bother to purchase the issue of Kobe Bryant on the cover, seemed pointless. But I decided to buy the latest issue with Jonah Hill and Katy Perry on the covers. The team over at Complex seem to not be putting their best foot forward, or however that quote goes, All of the latest interviews have been dryer than tortilla chips after a blunt -_- except for the Jim Jones interview, that was real entertaining. One upsetting thing about Complex is that their actual magazines are starting to get shorter and shorter. Before I could get a Complex and have 180 pages of pure goodness, and now it's rare that I get 100 pages. This situation needs to be fixed quick. I still support the movement.

The Genius.

Jean Paul Goude, the most creative person to touch a camera. JPG hails from France, he grew up near a village with all African American people, so growing up, he was extremely attracted to African American women. His work is the illest I've seen. He was in a long relationship with the infamous Grace Jones. She modeled for a lot of his work.

I'd definitely love to have his job. In about 13 years do not be surprised you hear of a new artist from New York that goes by the name of Christian Adisson. ^_^

JPG is the inspiration of this blog and for me as a photographer. He's also a graphic designer, illustrator, and film director. He did ads for Chanel and tons music videos for Grace Jones. Genius.

Crush.

Finding Beauty with an Urban Eye.

The recent trip to Soho with YJ and myself was great. Being chauffered in the back of a Mercedes S600 instead of the back of the train was glorifying, thanks Dad.

The expidition started on Houston St. and trekked our way up to Broadway. As soon as the walking began, the heavy laughing and chuckling followed. As YJ laughed upon the funny people we saw and the funny faces we made at them was immature fun in its purest form. We soon began to shop as soon as we got onto the avenue. Uniqlo was the first stop, and all our expectations were met in one store, so much that we didn’t have too much to buy anywhere else. Uniqlo has a lot of garments that are loved by my sense of style. No complaints. I’ll soon regret telling the world about it because I don’t usually tell my secrets. But nevertheless, most of our time was occupied with laughing, walking, talking, eating, spending, picture snapping, and enjoying the freedom the urban mecca refreshed us with. Enjoy

Bonjour tout le monde..

Hello World. The name's Lochnes, le beau monstre. I made the switch back to blogger because wordpress is the toilet bowl of the blogging world -_- I'm no stranger to blogger either, I ran Coup D'etat for almost a year, until I had no desire to affilitate myself with mainstream nonsense. I'm here to show more of myself than the outside world. I'm just an French-obsessed picture taking adolescent, here to show you beauty, good music, and my lust for life. I will be posting as often as I feel, I might be like the deadstock don, but hey, shit happens. Enjoy.

Bleecker street photos to bless the blog.
